HELPING THOSE LESS FORTUNATE, THOSE SUFFERING OR HURTING

Whitfields has, since its inception in 1993, always played its part in helping those less fortunate and in offering financial support to organisations who do so. It is an integral part of who we are as a company, and something that resonates strongly in our company culture, values, and ethos.

This month we feature Agape Education Centre, a pre-school in Nomzamo, Strand. Herewith an extract from their year-end newsletter:

We concluded the year with a small and socially distanced Grade R graduation. Families were overjoyed to see their child dance and sing, and receive their graduation certificate, and each family received a cake to take home to enjoy and celebrate together. Father Christmas also arrived to give each child a gift and treats. Thank you to the incredible team who helped put that memorable morning together for our special little ones.

We end the year now with hope – hope that next year will be better. Hope that our school will continue to shine as an example to the surrounding community of how we can help one another, and of how kindness can change lives.

It just goes to show what a little love, care and attention can do and there is always something we can do to make a difference in the lives of others.
